An empty apartment hides nothing. Every mark behind where the couch sat, every ring on a shelf, every crumb in a drawer track is suddenly the only thing in the room. That is why a move-out clean is a different job from a normal one, and why it is graded differently.
Inspectors work through a predictable list. Inside the oven and under the burners. Inside and behind the refrigerator. Inside every kitchen cabinet and drawer, including the tops of the upper cabinets, which almost everyone forgets. Then bathrooms: tub, tile, grout, glass, and the underside of the toilet base.
After that come closets, shelving, and rods; window interiors, sills, and tracks; baseboards, door frames, and switch plates; and finally the walls, where a spot-clean handles scuffs that do not need paint. Floors get done last, on the way out.
Two practical notes. First, the unit should be genuinely empty before the crew arrives, because anything left behind becomes an obstacle and a liability. Second, ask for photos after the clean. A dated set of photos is the cheapest possible insurance in a deposit dispute, and we send them on request.
If you are moving into a place rather than out of one, book the same service in reverse. Whatever the previous tenant did or did not do, you get to start in a home somebody actually sanitized.
